A paradise for anyone who loves
winter sports...
Fresh snow, a brilliant blue sky, crisp snowy slopes – every day is perfect!
An unforgettable skiing holiday awaits you in Alta Pusteria, the area of the Three Peaks of Lavaredo in the Dolomites. Villabassa is in a strategic location only a short distance from the ski areas of Monte Baranci, Monte Elmo, Croda Rossa, Camerota, Cortina and the Plan de Corones.
You can leave your car at home, because the special ski train runs every 30 minutes to the various districts, and before you know it you are gliding down the slope.
A ski holiday in Alta Pusteria -
Hotel Emma's recommendations:
Skiing in the district
of the Three Peaks:
115 kilometres in the beautiful heart of the Dolomites. With a single ski pass you can explore seven different areas: Monte Baranci, Monte Elmo, Croda Rossa, Braies, the Monte Croce Pass, Rienza at Dobbiaco and Waldheim in Sesto. Here are some of the highlights: the steepest slope in Italy, the largest "family of snowmen" in South Tyrol and the unique breed of reindeer.

The pleasure of skiing at Cortina:
just a half-hour drive from Villabassa lies the Cortina ski area, now an Olympic district where you can enjoy yourself on 120 kilometres of slopes. Savour the spectacular trails of the Tofane and Faloria and go down the slopes of the great champions! By the way: the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships will be held at Cortina in 2021!

The number one mountain for skiing:
119 km of slopes, 32 ski-lifts, the "Black Five", the connection to the Sella Ronda and the Alta Badia ski resort have all made the Plan de Corones one of the most popular destinations for people who love snow.
